I am planning a baby shower for my dear friend and her baby girl, Isabelle.
I decided on an "old school" theme that will have items like lunch trays, typewriters, a Children's book as a guest book, and much much more! I can't wait!
My bestie is expecting her first baby boy this summer. She named her son, Max, after the main character in the book, Where the Wild Things Are! She is a teacher and has such creative ideas. Max's nursery will have a wooden sailboat and a teepee to make it very "Wild" like. I designed these invites for her "Wild Things" baby shower. I love them! And YES, I hand drew all the Wild Things :)
How honored I was to be asked by my good friend, Deb to design her baby shower invitations. She and her husband are full of life, so we added lots and lots of color! I love the final product!
Ever since Grace asked me to design a blog banner for her, I have been following her journey of adoption. I, along with many of her readers, were overjoyed when she finally welcomed her son home from Korea.
I designed this lovely card in honor of her son, Carson.
My friend Deb thinks I'm a designer or something. She has asked me to design a few thank you cards for her friends..I love that she loves my work, even though I am no professional.
Anyways, I decided to make a card for her and her husband to celebrate their new home:
Baby Jack enters the world in August! I love that his momma and I are pregnant at the same time...I just wish we lived closer so that we could hang out all the time when we become mommies.
Anyways, I wanted to make some thank you cards for his momma, so I edited the baby momma template to reflect what she looks like. We then incorporated the nursery colors into the flags. I loved the way it turned out.
I also made her some return labels because I have a bajillion blank labels ready to be used.
my friend Debo asked me to make a Thank You card for her friends Tony & Sara who were married in May. Both Debo and Sara are very creative people, so I had a lot to live up to!
I drew them in their wedding outfits and added lots of color. Can you tell I am really into flag banners and birds? I also added some pom poms, since she had those at her reception site.
I printed out 100 of them...so I hope they go to good use writing all those dreaded thank you cards!
made this birthday card for this cool guy. If you don't know him, google him and I am sure you will see images of him dressed up in unique outfits like the one I drew above.
Grace Choi found me via kim-squared, then found gracieKdesigns, and then precious soul. She connected with me after she found out that we knew some of the same people (small world) and how we both struggled with infertility issues. She started a blog about her journey and wanted me to design a banner for her.
She had great ideas, which I incorporated into the above banner. I love the name of her blog and her tag line. I also love her concept of the picture. It is of her and and her husband on the road to start a family.
I know it is a private journey that she and her husband are on, so I am grateful that she allowed me to share her blog with you. If you want to feel inspired, please visit her blog, Chois-R-Us.
